During the weekend, I visited Charmaine's Rooftop Bar & Lounge - 45 McAllister St 1100 Market St in San Francisco, accompanied by my best friend. It is located inside The Proper Hotel.

Surprisingly the sun was out, the sky was clear, and the winds were mellow. The weather was perfect for a rooftop bar day. Each seating section comes with a fire pit and a blanket will be dispersed for the city's cold hours. I will most definitely re-visit during their nighttime scene.

Before you are seated, a QR code is provided to access their menu. The lounge offers a dinner and brunch menu. We decided to have breakfast there. On the weekends, brunch hours are 8 am to 2 pm. I ordered a plate of "The Proper Breakfast" that includes eggs made of choice, chicken sausage, crispy bacon, smashed fingerling potatoes, butternut squash, shiitake mushrooms, and grilled sourdough. Due to a flavorful satisfying breakfast spread, I will be re-creating it at home. I was pleased with the portion size because usually, lounges serve finger foods/tapas. On the left is their "Buttermilk Waffle" topped with apple compote, tonka bean cream, and salted maple sorbet. It was such a different take on waffles but in a good way. Savory and salty goodness.
As for the drinks, I chose their "Kissin' in the California Sun" (pink drink on the right). I am very picky when it comes to cocktails but this decision did not disappoint me at all. It obtained the perfect amount of alcohol and sweetness served on crushed ice. It reminded me of an alcohol version of a slushie. The flower laid on top was a cute touch. I now declare this as my summer beverage.

In terms of covid protocol, your temperature is checked with a forehead thermometer before entering the premises. The tables are placed more than 6ft away from each other and are sanitized. The lounge is surrounded by greenery giving me chill and relaxing vibes which is exactly what I want to feel in a rooftop setting. Rooftop bar and views? Sign me up. You can make reservations through their main website:

Despite living in the Bay Area my entire life, there are so many restaurants that I have yet to try as well as places to visit so you will be seeing more blog posts on that subject.
Thank you for stopping by! Stay safe & protected. Have a blessed day!
